Building Brainpower Through Blogging

      None of us can really be summed up in just a paragraph or two, but here are some basics.

I earned my B.A. in secondary education from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and my Masters in Education from the University of Texas.

Before moving to Austin, Texas, I taught in the Kansas City, Missouri School District.  I have taught at my current school since 1994 and I love the students and the other people who work here!

My husband and I have four children between the two of us…. three sons and one daughter. We also have five grandchildren ranging from 4 to 14 years old. They live in Anchorage, Alaska and Kansas City, Missouri and we enjoy visiting with them. Having grandchildren is even better than having kids! 

Finally, I love to read!  My favorite Christmas presents last year were gift cards for Borders Books and to Half Price Books! 

I think my favorite book in the world is The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.  I admire his main character Frodo for doing the right thing, even when he’s frightened.
