Grades
Grades for this class are based on effort and completion of work. No one is expected to already know everything about the subject — if you do, let me know! However, you are expected to work as hard as you can. No one who gives his or her full effort will fail this class.
There is only one of me in this class and I cannot work individually with each of you at all times.
So –
- Pay attention during whole class instruction. Take notes, if necessary.
- Follow directions!
- I often give students handouts. Read them, re-read them, and attempt to work on your own. Do not give up!
- Go back to the last part that made sense and start over from there. Maybe you just missed a step.
- Ask someone sitting next to you for help. Do not get up out of your seat to ask someone across the room.
- Remind yourself that you are an intelligent human being. Learning new skills takes time and practice!
